Join Dr. Sahar Khamis and her two guests, Dr. Abdul-Wahab Kayyali and Ms. Salma Al-Shami, in her program “The Bridge” this Friday, June 25th, from 8 to 9 a.m. (EST), LIVE on “U.S. Arab Radio” and Facebook simultaneously, as they discuss a very timely and important topic, namely: the shifts in the political, economic, social and media landscapes in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa), in the aftermath of the Covid19 pandemic.
The discussion will cover the changing realities on the ground in this region, in light of the key findings and most important indicators from the latest data collection surveys conducted by the “Arab Barometer” in a number of Arab countries. Special attention will be devoted to gender disparities; discrepancies in media access, especially social media disparities; press freedom limitations, as well as the degree of satisfaction with governments in the surveyed countries.
