Although the figures need to be studied with some perspective, it seems that Egyptians are praying less (see Table 4), with a decrease of piety over time and these shifts most visible among the young- est generations. To quote another example, in Iran, despite a law adopted after 1979 that allows girls to marry from nine years old, the average age is now 25….
